Jeff Chambers, MD

Jeff Chambers, MD, is a nationally recognized leader in complex coronary interventions and structural heart therapies. With over 25 years of clinical experience at the Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Institute at Mercy Hospital in Minneapolis, he has held numerous leadership roles, including President, Chairman of the Cardiovascular Department, and Cath Lab Director. He currently serves as the Director of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.

Dr. Chambers has a distinguished background in clinical research, having served as the principal investigator for more than 30 cardiovascular trials. He was the National Principal Investigator for the landmark ORBIT II trial, which led to FDA approval of the coronary atherectomy device developed by Cardiovascular Systems Inc. (CSI). He later served as Chief Medical Officer for CSI from March 2023 until its acquisition by Abbott Vascular in May 2024. A serial entrepreneur and innovator, Dr. Chambers holds numerous issued patents, several of which relate to commercially available cardiovascular devices. He is the Founder, Chairman of the Board, and Chief Medical Officer of 4C Medical Technologies, Inc.

Dr. Chambers earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Since 2003, he has been consistently honored with the peer-nominated Top Doctor Award by Mpls. St.Paul Magazine.
