Beau H. Starkel is a Nebraska-based entrepreneur, investor, and founder of Wine, Beer and Spirits (WBS), a chain of large-format beverage stores.

Starkel launched Wine, Beer and Spirits in 2020, transforming a former Toys “R” Us building into a massive retail and experiential liquor store. The chain now has several locations across Nebraska, with revenues reaching approximately $35 million annually. His stores combine traditional retail with hospitality elements such as bars, tasting areas, and event spaces, creating a unique customer experience.

In addition to WBS, Starkel serves as Managing Director of Starkel Capital Management, a private equity firm investing in regional growth companies. Previously he was a Professor at the University of Omaha.

Raised in rural Stanton, Nebraska, Starkel earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska and both an MBA and a Master’s in Investment Management & Financial Analysis from Creighton University.
