Research & Development Engineering

Cassandra Svendsen is currently leading Research & Development Engineering for Cardio Flow, and assisting with the company since its creation in 2013. She has served in consulting roles as the founder and president of Piippo Engineering, Inc., specializing in start-up early stage medical device companies. She currently holds 38 U.S. issued patents.

Prior to Cardio Flow, she has held engineering and product management positions with NxThera (urology), as well as in cardiovascular-based medical device companies HLT Medical (TAVR), AGA Medical (structural), Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. (atherectomy), and Guidant (cardiac rhythm management).

Cassandra holds degrees in both mechanical and biomedical engineering.
