Cardio Flow’s extensive intellectual property portfolio

Cardiologist Leonid Shturman invented orbital atherectomy, and his first-generation device is marketed by Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ CSII).

Dr. Shturman also developed the next generation orbital atherectomy technology before his death in 2009. Cardio Flow, Inc., founded in 2014, owns Dr. Shturman’s extensive intellectual property for this new technology.

Cardio Flow’s current portfolio includes 27 issued and 1 pending U.S. patents, plus foreign patent protection in Europe, Canada, and Australia.
